the WORST of BadTVBadTV was created in 1994 in the aftermath of the breakup of the Betapunks, the underground art collective operating in the Imperial City. BadTV gained renown in Manhattan in 1998, when the world's worst landlords (177 Bleecker) became the subject of Sandie Black's mini-doc titled: "I Pay Rent to the Mafia." BadTV lasted some 200 broadcasts on Time Warner, every Tuesday at Midnight, and won a loyal if diminutive following, until Blue quit producing shows to move to Hollywood. In all, there are some 34 original 30-minute shows, with a broad variety of subjects and contributors. Those shows have all been mothballed, but the annual compilations are available FREE to anyone on the BadTV e-mail lists. Click on any of the covers below to see the availability for each annual compilation, the worst of BadTV. |
