Peter Fox
Peter Fox
from campfire to chamber, every tune that fits
Songs are an addiction. Once you find out you can play one, your life is ruined. Once you find out you can make one, your life is ruined. Peter Fox is a 21st Century explosion, leaking songs wherever he goes. He does TV and movie scores, put together a bluegrass masterpiece called "Americana Motel" which the Wall Street Journal of all people claimed was one of the year's best albums, and created a musical about sex and death so legendary it has almost completely disappeared. Blue and Black love him for his talents but more particularly for his uncanny good taste in music and mood: As a 16-year-old runaway he got to Vegas and a table in the front row to watch Frank Sinatra before Peter vomited in the champagne bucket after drinking three bottles of Moet with his legless pal. Music is not just notes and beats. It's a vibe. That's not something most musicians like to admit. But Peter Fox looks up the word "music" in the dictionary and shows you the description: "See? Says it right here, vibe." Mister Fox helps us set the mood. He's our first weapon, you could say.
